If you are looking for a great
steakhouse in New York City and you have not given the Palm Restaurant of
NYC a try yet, you should make your reservations today. The Palm is one of the oldest family-owned restaurants to
expand across the United States and boasts two New York City locations among
its empire of over twenty-five restaurants.
Te Palm Restaurant of NYC is located in most major metropolitan
markets and is frequented by many celebrities because of its fine dining and
accommodating service. Though it was not originally a
focal point on the menu, the Palm Restaurant of NYC has become known for
their prime steaks and outsized lobsters.
In fact, steaks were not even on the menu and when they were ordered,
the chef would individually buy one and cook it to order. This dedication to customer satisfaction caused the Italian
restaurant to become a steakhouse. In
addition to the menu full of appetizers, pastas, steaks, veal, seafood,
vegetables and salads, there are two house specialties.
Those two specialties live true to the current concept of the
restaurant and include a Double Steak, which is a 36 ounce New York Strip
served for two and the Jumbo Maine Lobsters which are three pounds or
larger. Reservations are
recommended for the Palm Restaurant of NYC if you want to make one of these
specialties your dinner.
As you enter the Palm Restaurant of
NYC, one of the first things that you notice is its unusual décor.
The walls are covered with hundreds of caricatures of local
celebrities, politicians and loyal customers.
This tradition was originally started because there was not enough
money to decorate upon opening the store, so local newspapermen were offered
a plate of spaghetti in exchange for a drawing.
Originally the Palm was suppose to be called “Parma”, but when
they went to get their business license, the thick accents of the original
owners caused the restaurants name to be misinterpreted as “Palm”. |
