Situated
in the middle of the Chelsea and the meat-packing
neighborhoods, between Nineth and Tenth Avenues, Glo in NYC is a modern
dance club that has become a popular spot to see-and-be-seen. Designed like
a posh beach house, Glo in NYC is decorated in soft white and cream tones
with a vibe that is contemporary and tranquil. Glo in NYC is divided into
three levels, each with its own bar and social level. The main area at Glo in NYC offers a bar made of white
pebbles and lit by neon tubing and there is plenty of space to dance and
have a good time on the dance floor. Huge, white, space-ship style speakers
float above the dance floor and blast beats to the crowd below. Large, flat
screens flash shapes to the beat of the music, as if there are not other
items to entertain your eyes while you dance. Table-service patrons can
enjoy raised platform seating that wraps around the dance floor. Upstairs at the nightclub, VIPs have a bird’s eye view of
the party going on down below and the enjoyment of each other’s company.
The lounge is filled with curved couched covered with brown pinstripes. It
offers the elite of New York, and those visiting, a private place to couch
dance, mingle or just have a good time. Glo in NYC is not just about being nightclub, though. It is
also host to a variety of events. Previously, Glo in NYC participated in New
York’s Fashion Week. It also hosts New Years Eve parties and parties for
celebrities, such as Ashanti. Besides the two floors, an additional 4,000
square feet of raw space is available for private functions. Glo in NYC is closed Sunday through Thursday and is open from
10 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. If you want to have a good time
at a night club, take your friends to Glo on a Friday or Saturday and see
what the hype is all about. Be sure to have cash with you, unless you want
to spend the $50 credit card minimum at the bar. You are sure to have a
memorable time. |
